The question is, just who are these U.S. leaders? Are you speaking of the puppets that we elect to public office?

The problem is that those we call "leaders" are not leaders at all, but followers who follow the yellow brick road - the road paved with gold that leads to their political campaigns and other rewards. That gold comes from the real leaders, the oligarchs who depend on world instability for their profits. They cannot afford to back off their goal of dominating everything everywhere all at once as that would cut seriously into their profits.

So long as we continue to allow our elected officials to be purchased by those who profit from war, there will be no leaders in public office.
