Democrats Are Undemocratic
Fewer Choices Are Better!
I caught this headline at the New York Times this morning:
Fearing Third-Party Spoilers vs. Trump, Biden Allies Try to Squash Them
With Democrats worried that a third-party bid could throw a tight race to Donald Trump, President Biden’s top aides have blessed a broad offensive to starve such efforts of cash and ballot access.

I didn’t know Biden’s aides could bestow blessings on efforts to deny other candidates the benefits of democracy. Will such wonders ever cease?
This is entirely unsurprising. Biden, like Obama before him, is basically running the country like a Republican. He’s broken most of his major “progressive” campaign promises. He’s building Trump’s wall along the border with Mexico. He’s boosting military spending even higher than Trump did. He’s pushing almost unbounded weaponry to Ukraine while preparing for a possible war with China over Taiwan. Yet despite leaning ever further to the right, he’s still behind in the polls to Trump in next year’s presidential election.
Biden has no message except Trump is the greater of two evils. So that means that third-party “spoilers” must be suppressed and denied ballot access wherever and whenever possible. In short, the game must be rigged, the dice must be loaded, the table must be tilted, even more than it usually is for Biden to have a solid chance at winning again.
We can’t allow more candidates to spoil democracy! Only two choices are allowed: Biden versus a Republican, probably Trump, who can be painted as too radical and dangerous for America.
Isn’t it comforting to know Democrats are doing their best to constrict and limit democracy? In the name of “saving” it?
Count me among the “spoilers”; I guess wanting more choices, more candidates like RFK Jr., Cornel West, or Marianne Williamson, is simply undemocratic.
If only Biden could simply run unopposed by anyone. The true essence of democracy!
The Democrats not only became the more effective evil, they are the more insidious evil. They lie about their intentions in ways that the screwed up Republicans don't. The Republicans will tell you they want more war, more deregulation, more cruelty, whereas the Democrats, who deliver the same despicable policies, pretend they want peace, freedom and democracy. They flat out lie about it over and over. Then, even after voting for all the same crap, the Democrats pretend that it is only due to the evildoing of the Republicans that their supposed peace, freedom and democracy efforts fail.
It's kind of funny how many Americans talk about democracy in the US when they live in a Republic that has all sorts of layers between votes and office (including rigged primaries and the electoral college). The US is not now and never has been a "democracy" where every vote counts. It has always been an oligarchy disguised.
