The U.S. will not take the loss in the Persian Gulf well. The focus will shift somewhere else, where the U.S. can demonstrate its "dominance" - Cuba becomes an obvious first choice for some form of military intervention. The denizens of the imperial city (D.C.) and their owners and acolytes will not go quietly into the night.
And in the Mideast, the bases may close, and the ships and aircraft may come home - but the "war" will continue in the shadows by the CIA and U.S. "soft power", as it does around the world. How many people are aware of the protests in Indonesia that are part of an effort to control the Strait of Malacca (and choke China)?
The MSM keeps us "informed" of only 1 event at a time. What about Ukraine, what about Indonesia (as you mention), what about the shenanigans in Albania, what about the continuing starvation and violence on the continent of Africa? I follow Aaron Good (American Exception) who really delves into the characters who are always in the background.
I don't think Israel won anything... Zionists are pressing in with their entrenched ideas and behavior, but they are antagonizing the world, too. Making enemies for Israel, as Trump is making enemies for the U S. They are not the whole of Israel, any more, either. Bibi is not Judaism or Israel any more than Trump is America ...
Hello Bill Astore... This is a Good Posting... With 'Friends' like Israel, who needs Enemies?.... Paul Krugman had a Good Posting on how the American Republic is following the Decline, and Fall of the Roman Republic... History doesn't Repeat, but it sure Rhymes...
This is The Washington Post summary of the majority sentiment on "The deal to set the terms for reaching a genuine Peace, totally possible if both parties negotiate with Good Will.
The comments express strong disapproval of a recent agreement between the U.S. and Iran, criticizing it as a capitulation or surrender by the U.S. Many commenters argue that the deal is less favorable than the previous agreement under President Obama, highlighting the $300 billion in reparations to Iran and the lifting of sanctions. There is a consensus that the deal benefits Iran significantly while offering little to no gains for the U.S., with some commenters sarcastically referring to it as "The Art of the Deal" in reverse.
Circumstantial evidence might cause some to conclude, despite all Secretary of War Hegseth's prayers to God to bless American Warriors raining Death and Destruction on Iran from the sky and the oceans, God is on Iran's side!
It is Scriptural, 'those who exalt themselves will be humbled'
Am I the only person who looked through the 14 point memorandum or whatever it is without noticing a single reference to Israel?
I did notice it's really a 60-day ceasefire agreement. Also the lack of such Trumpian verbiage as "big, beautiful" in the text. I have the sneaking suspicions that (1) Iran had no input on the actual composition of this whatever it is, (2) that Israel will not feel bound by this whatever it is, and (3) that drones and missiles will be crisscrossing the Middle Eastern sky by Sunday afternoon.
PS I noticed on another blog some joker consistently refers to the region as West Asia. What's up with that?
The Syrian, Lebanese, and Iraqi people have lost far more than Americans, but truly all of humanity has lost because the centralized power of governments have smashed some of the last tribal power structures on earth, and human liberty may be a thing of the past very soon.
The UAE has also won quite a bit while the majority of people are focused on Israel only, with its billions in investment projects throughout the middle east backed by pro-US centralized governments in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq which support those investments as well as all pushing a monopoly on arms for the state.
Compare the recent 40 days’ shock and awe to Linebacker II.
Linebacker was 12 days 20000 tons of bombs mostly on Hanoi and Haiphong. Epstein Fury was 40 days and 30000 “strikes”. Scarce precision weapons do not use weight as quality. Target list was broader with lots of target under granite, most survived.
If Linkbacker sold “shock and awe” to get Vietnam to the table to get US out in a few months. Epstein should put shock and awe to bed.

Those are messages the world needs to hear.
With all the uncertainty of the Times propagated by the MSM, this is a change of pace if only for a little while.
Listening to Conan O'Brian's Commencement speech at Harvard gave me a few belly laughs, and I'm sure you'll get a few too!

'Iran FORCES U.S. To PAY $300 Billion In War Damages | NYT Report On Trump’s SECRET Iran Deal Out'
Those who read the MOU the header for this video seems appropriate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUZCWSV9vn8

Can anything derail it?
On the subject of 'Who Won the Iran War' I posted this NYT article yesterday on X having the header, 'How Tehran Won the World.'
This is a free link to the article if anyone wants to read it: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/16/opinion/trump-iran-war-aggression.html?smid=url-share.
