If I had lived under a siege all my life in a tiny open air prison camp – if I had no hope for the future – I too might be tempted to violently resist a brutal, unrelenting and illegal occupation, which is my right under international law.
Nuclear weapons would have left the region uninhabitable for decades and fallout likely would have reached Israel. It would make it impossible to set up pipelines or bases for the gas reserves.
Why deplete the reserves of nuclear weapons when it's far more enjoyable to slowly bomb with conventional weapons? To cover Gaza it would probably take 5 to 10 nuclear weapons.
Sadists love pain and suffering. In Netanyahus perspective this is more like a cat killing a rat and playing with it for a bit till it's dead.
Conventional weapons are free -supplied by the US taxpayers so no worries as to cost.
Hamas is virtually defenseless against the US supplied state of the art weapons. A few Chinese firecracker rockets with a grenade ducktaped to the tip and some Ak47s with no ability for resupply.
At the beginning of this conflict Hamas supposedly stated that it would kill hostages if Israel didn't give prior warning of an attack. Hamas has not executed any hostage to date. In fact they are willing to negotiate for the release of them but have been thwarted by both Israel and the US against the wishes of the international community and citizens.
In the media I have only heard directly from Netanyahu that Palistinian people are "human animals" and have to be exterminated. I have yet to hear anything reliable from Hamas stating the same about Jews. Hamas leadership has not been granted the same worldwide media platform Netanyahu has enjoyed.
And to repeat again - Palistinian people have been invaded and occupied by Israel since 1948 and oppressed by Israel up until present for fighting back against their oppressor. And the US has knowingly and willingly aided. It benefits the US by providing a distraction from domestic issues, an excuse for military presence in the Mideast and the hope of a war against Iran ,Syria, Lebanon (and with the current attacks and counterattacks we are virtually at war with them now) and more profit for the MIC to the demise of Americans who are completely ignored by our "representative government". And in a roundabout way they blame Hitler.

The Hamas fighters did not have the power and ability to destroy the Kibbutz homes TV shows and the charred bodies in the burnt cars we see on TV. Only the IDF had the ability to do such things.

On April 9, 2016 Consortium News published an article, republished last September 12, “Why Americans Are Never Told Why,” that sought to explain why the historical context surrounding terrorist attacks on the West is suppressed to whitewash any responsibility Western governments have for putting their populations in danger.
Instead Western leaders prefer their people believe the illusion that totally irrational actors attack them because “they hate their freedoms” and not because of an aggressive foreign policy towards the Middle East.
Making clear that these attacks against civilians were never justified, the article contained links to statements from perpetrators spelling out why they attacked the West, including a “Letter to the American People” from Osama bin Laden, which explained in detail why al Qaeda struck the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001.
The link in the article pointed to the letter’s publication by The Guardian on Nov. 24, 2002. That document has now been removed by The Guardian. It did so last Wednesday, Nov. 15, after 21 years.
With footage from inside the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, Al-Shifa, The Grayzone examines the Israeli military's policy of attacking and eliminating medical care centers across the northern part of the besieged Palestinian territory as it seeks to expel its residents.
