NBC News Smears Tulsi Gabbard Yet Again
But Syria Is On Our Side Now, Right?
NBC News never quits smearing former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. Its most recent article claims that “Democrats and Republicans in Congress [are] worried that Gabbard might leak information to Syria.” I guess that was just before Syria became “woke” and overthrew the Assad regime. Now that Syria is “friendly” to the U.S., should we worry less about “leaks”?
Actually, there’s no evidence—none—that Gabbard has ever leaked anything. In fact, she’s still in the Army reserves serving as a lieutenant colonel with a top secret clearance. One would expect the Department of Defense wouldn’t maintain LTC Gabbard’s top secret clearance if it believed she represented a security threat.
Here’s the rub: Gabbard has often been an outspoken critic of America’s forever wars. She has questioned the official narrative of the Russia-Ukraine War. She is concerned about the risks of nuclear war. She takes a dim view of America’s wars of choice and identifies closely with her “brothers and sisters in uniform,” a phrase she uses often when she speaks. And she is very much her own woman, as well as being an enemy of Hillary Clinton and prominent officials in the Democratic Party. For all this, she represents a threat to established neocon imperatives.
Gabbard, once a rising Democrat, became an independent, decided to support Donald Trump, and is now a Republican. That’s not an easy journey in DC. She’s shown herself to be resolute, an independent thinker, a non-conformist, a person of honor, and for that she is being punished by those who are irresolute, who are dependent, who conform, who have no honor.

I don't understand why anyone would pay attention to the NYT or the rest of the MSM.
On the one hand, the "rebels" are freedom fighters overthrowing the evil Assad regime. On the other, these groups are called "terrorists" by the "international community".
And there is the convenient lack of historial reporting that the groups currently funded by the CIA are the descendants of Al-Qaeda who attacked the US on 9/11. Or that in the earlier phases of the Syrian war, the U.S. was funding the "moderates terrorists" on both sides.
