The Fascist versus the Marxist
It's Hitler versus Stalin in the 2024 Election
We seem to be stuck in the 1930s.
Donald Trump has called Kamala Harris a “Marxist.” Last night, Harris called Trump a “fascist.” So I guess it’s Hitler versus Stalin in the 2024 election.
It’s funny. Both Trump and Harris are corporate-friendly. Harris has raised over a billion dollars and is spending it like the wind to get elected. She poses in her finest for “Vogue.” She celebrates her belief in capitalism. Typical Marxist behavior.
Interestingly, Harris finally came out this week in support of a $15 federal minimum wage. So, if you work a full-time job, 50 weeks out of the year, 40 hours a week, you will earn $30,000. How generous of Harris to finally support this after Bernie Sanders was calling for $15 in 2015! (Back then, Hillary Clinton grudgingly allowed $12 an hour before belatedly raising it to $15 to compete with Bernie.)
Honestly, do you think $30K a year is enough money for a bread-winner to raise a family?
Trump, meanwhile, still hasn’t clearly committed to a $15 federal minimum wage. Looks like he didn’t learn much from his recent stunt where he “worked” at McDonald’s.
This is another reason I like Jill Stein and the Green Party. Stein has called for a $25 federal minimum wage, which, if you worked 50 weeks for 40 hours a week, would amount to $50,000 a year. Too generous? Not in my view. Shouldn’t you make a halfway decent salary and living if you have a full-time job with only two weeks of unpaid vacation? And that $50K will obviously be taxed (federal, state, and local), with the usual deductions for Social Security and Medicare, so $50K is really more like $40K when you factor in all those deductions and taxes.
Many people think I’m crazy to support someone like Jill Stein, but consider the name-calling of the Red and Blue teams, where one is a “fascist” and the other a “Marxist,” and consider how reluctant both teams are to support decent wages for workers. And then add to that the blank checks of support the Red and Blue teams give to Israel, and how quickly they’re willing to give a trillion dollars to the Pentagon and $200 billion to Ukraine and Israel toward weapons and more war.
Do you see why I’m seeking an alternative, and why I’m voting Green? It beats fascism and Marxism and voting for Hitler or Stalin, am I right?

When I see Harris/Walz supporters posting, "Vote like its 1933 in Germany," I want to say, "Then, clearly you can't support your candidate who is already guilty of genocide and militarism."
"This is another reason I like Jill Stein and the Green Party. Stein has called for a $25 federal minimum wage, which, if you worked 50 weeks for 40 hours a week, would amount to $50,000 a year. Too generous?" Bill the fact that 50 thousand a year is seen by both parties and by so many Americans as too generous-as unaffordable rather than something we cannot afford NOT to afford says so much. It gets at the myths of deserving- myths of meriting that has billionaires owning our politics. Most of us know (I hope) that Musk does not merit becoming a trillionaire, yet so many are far from seeing that all working people deserve a working wage. That's not a call for equality or socialism but a call for distribution of wealth that is not so grotesquely unfair- not so removed from how the wealth was actually made.
