I'm curious to see if/when the NTY will try to rip "Provoked," Scott Horton's near 700 page chronicle of the Russia/Ukraine conflict, as Kremlin propaganda. It is one thing to publish devoid of context. It is quite another to fabricate out of whole cloth narratives based on nothing but lies and/or fantasies. What they are not are journalists.

The big question is, how long will Tulsi survive if she advocates for policies that don't benefit those who dictate them?

Yes. Great question. And will she even survive the Senate approval process?

The Soviets did more to defeat Hitler than the combined efforts of the US, CanaDa, England and France. The only reason they got to Berlin was because of WWII being an Ally of the West and armed by the US.

The US Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex having learned of the great profits to be had with WAR, needed a new Enemy after Hitler was defeated, and notwithstanding the great sacrifices the Russian People made during WWII, when it ended, Soviet Russia became the designated ENEMY thus continuing the great profits with the US becoming the BIGGEST ARMS MERCHANT in the History of Nations and US Propaganda hyping FEAR of Russians perpetuated the increasing MONEY flow to the MIC.

The rest is History, as THIS Material World is at the precipice of WWIII TODAY with US-NATO provocation. SILENCE IS CONSENT!

I hereby publicly confess to being a "Russian asset"! Yes, I have been openly critical from Day One of this proxy war against Russia that the US has foisted on the people of The Ukraine. Hey, I even visited Moscow in 2013! (Admittedly, to attend an international sports event. Sorry, didn't get to meet Mr. Putin!) In my hotel room, I got to watch a bit of "Russia Today," now banned from US soil. The critical attitude toward the US was a refreshing change of pace. From all I can observe, Mr. Putin is a very intelligent and well informed individual. Would knock any US politician on his or her ass in an impartial debate on most any topic. So I am counting on Putin to be bluffing about employing nuclear weapons in response to the latest US missile escalation. The roots of this mess on the European continent lie in the US breaking of a promise--beware of Americans bearing promises!--to NOT push NATO to Russia's borders. Though I frown severely on Tulsi Gabbard having thrown in her lot with Team Fascism (Team Trump), I guess we are now both Russian Assets! Hello, Tulsi!

The spectacle of US DOMINATED NATO, 33 Nations against Russia!

Yea for Tulsi!

I haven't delved into this topic as much as everyone else apparently, so, I will only comment that you've put yourself out on quite the limb here, so I'm hoping that the payoff is in your favor. I, for one, don't trust her, New York times article or not. Hillary Clinton shade or not. There's something about this woman that I just do not like. So, do not put that in your pipe because I do not approve of smoking. Otherwise, yeah. xo

You hit on exactly what drives me up a wall about the coverage of Tulsi Gabbard. She's a spy? Okay. You should probably arrest and deport her, then. Oh, wait. She's a Russian spy like Trump is a fascist. It's all crying wolf. If the people in leadership don't believe their own words, how am I supposed to believe them?

They never let up, do they? The MSM will twist any story in order to keep the public provoked and fearful. Anything to make people believe that there are actually two different parties, rather than the duopoly that is our reality. Keeping people hyped up so they don't pay attention to what is actually happening now under Biden/Harris (continued genocide, more $$ to Ukraine).

I would be reluctant to accuse the "intelligence" community (IC) of being guilty of our disastrous foreign policy. The IC does threat assessments, they don't do policy. Policy is decided at the cabinet level with its thousands of political appointees, most of whom rotate through the revolving door between government, corporations, academia and NGO's (non-governmental organizations) when there is a turn over of political parties. Most of these fools have little or no real experience in the business managed by the departments to which they are assigned. But they review and edit all reports that bubble up to the office of the President and ensure that they are properly spun so as to support the prevailing policies. So who is responsible for our disastrous foreign policy?

Consider that 99+% of all policies are made by people who stand to benefit from them, and that no policy was ever written at the expense of its author. So ask yourself who benefits the most. (I guarantee that the civil servants in the IC are not the chief beneficiaries of our foreign policy.) If you want specifics, look at the corporate heads of Raytheon, Boeing, General Dynamics, Lockheed-Martin, Northrup-Grumman, NBC, ABC, Fox News, New York Times, Washington Post, Rupert Murdoch, a host of Wall Street traders and bankers, and a cast of thousands who benefit richly from war and contribute heavily to the political campaigns of our elected officials. These are the people who dictate policy. They are the people behind the green curtain - the deep state.

We have seen the IC, including its emeritus ranks, fabricate assessments with zero proof. (Duh--Russiagate and Hunter's laptop as Russian disinfo). We have seen their incompetence in assessing Russian "weakness" and "aggression." Of course, we can't see behind the curtain until someone pulls back enough to get a peep, but it seems clear to me that the IC crowd these days are as incompetent and narrative driven as the ranks of the elected, appointed and "think tank complex." Ex-CIA analysts, Ray McGovern and Larry Johnson call these points out on a near daily basis.

What you and I see are only those reports that bubble out of the stew that has been cooked by the pols. What is drafted by the real analysts (like McGovern used to be) never sees light of day. Having watched my own reports being spun in a manner so as to completely negate my recommendations, I sympathize with those who do the actual work.

What typically happens is that the analyst has to admit there is a definite but small probability that a certain situation exists or a certain event might occur, but that it is highly unlikely. When the analysis is contrary to policy, those improbable situations/events mutate into certainties during the review/editing process.

There are any number of analysts who will say, upon reading the published report, "Holy shit, did I write this"? I have watched my own reports mutate in this manner and have said those very same words. And I don't believe I am the only person who ever experienced this phenomenon.

Sad, but so totally believable.

I posted in a previous BV article recently, the Opinion piece in The Washington Post December 22, 1963, by Harry Truman who created the CIA, lamenting the CIA already went rogue fomenting conflicts in THIS World, instead of just providing Intelligent Information Analysis to the President so he makes informed decisions based on FACT and REALITY.

Yes indeed.
