Fifty-five years ago today, eight-plus years after President Kennedy had committed the United States to “achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to earth,” that goal was accomplished.

After hearing “Houston, Tranquility Base here, the Eagle has landed,” and then, six hours later, watching Neil Armstrong’s “One small step...,” a friend of mine said “If we humans can do that, we can do anything.”
When will the leaders of this Nation and Planet similarly commit to Ending Poverty, Hunger, Disease, Illiteracy, Global Warming, Tyranny, and the ultimate, root cause of these conditions, War?
More importantly, when will the Peoples of this Nation and Planet DEMAND that those leaders do exactly that?
